WELCOME!

Like the sign says, welcome to my personal roadside stop on the Information Superhighway. For a very long time, I kept promising fans, friends and family a place where they could stop by and check out what's new from me in the comic shop or what I've got in the works. Well, Storrieville was created to do just that.

WHAT'S NEW!

Currently I'm in one of those periods that all writer's dread: I've been working on stuff like crazy and the stuff I'm working on won't be announced/on shelves for a bit.

Work is continuing on the ROBYN OF SHERWOOD remastered edition, I wrote a graphic novel this past Fall that's being illustrated as we speak (and should be announced in the next few months), I'm finishing off a mini-series, writing a prose story, and just started working on a currently-secret project that boggles my mind to be a part of.

Keep your eyes peeled here and on the blog for updates!

However, there are a couple things to pass along...

10th Muse Crossovers

10th Muse Crossovers
Throughout the years, the 10th Muse has teamed up with some of the top comics, such as Shi, Savage Dragon, Tellos, Legend of Isis, and Judo Girl. All these amazing stories brought to you by top comic talent like Billy Tucci, Erik Larsen, Marv Wolfman, Roger Cruz, and Mike Wieringo are are now gathered together in this single graphic novel.

Also included is a never-before seen crossover with Indie favorite Koni Wave!

This collection includes my own SHI/10th MUSE crossover with art by Nadir Balan.

From the original solicitation copy:

Two women. Two warriors. One fights for justice. The other, vengeance. But are the two really that different? Find out when Shi vows to destroy a man the 10th Muse has sworn to protect. But when two heroes do battle, can the result be anything but tragic?

  • Do you like rockin' surf punk (or "power noise pop")?
  • Do you like blonde girls who kick undead butt?
  • Do you like seeing whether writer's can draw?

If you answered "Yes!" to any of those questions, you should should check out "Stuck in a Cellar"
by Superfizzee, available on iTunes or CDBaby.

Featuring guest drummer DJ Bonebrake (of X) and 'cover' art by yours truly!

It's been a long, long time since I've flexed my artistic muscles for public consumption, but I thought this turned out pretty well.

APPEARANCES

Kids Read Comics!

I'll be participating in the second annual Kids Read Comics! convention on June 12 & 13 at the Henry Ford Centennial Library in Dearborn, Michigan.

Kids Read Comics Convention is a totally free event that unites kids, teens, parents, teachers and librarians with professional artists and writers from the comics and animation fields. Their goal is to introduce kids to worlds of imagination while unlocking their creative impulses, and to serve that goal, the convention features:
  • hands-on workshops
  • panels and presentations for kids, families, and educators
  • a chance for kids to meet and chat with comics and animation professionals
  • the opportunity for kids to have their own art portfolios reviewed
For more information check out their Programming page.

Kids Read Comics was founded by youth and teen librarian Edith Burney of Chelsea, cartoonist and educator Jerzy Drozd of Ann Arbor, comic shop owner Dan Merritt of Dearborn, and comic book writer Dan Mishkin of East Lansing. You can the them at kidsreadcomics@gmail.com.

Hope to see you there!

KEEP IN TOUCH

I've pretty much given up on my (ir)regular mailing list, Storrieville News, what with having a blog, MySpace page and ComicSpace page.

If you're looking for the latest and greatest news from me, or just my random thoughts about comics, writing and life in general, here's where you can find all that:
